BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINET (CLASS II TYPE 2)

(BSC-17 CLASS II TYPE 2) A biological safety cabinet (BSC) is a primary engineering control used to protect personnel against biohazardous or infectious agents and to help maintain quality control of the material being worked with as it filters both the inflow and exhaust air.

  • Air drawn through pre-filters is made to pass through highly effective HEPA (high efficiency particular air) filters.
  • The Pre filter fitted extends the life of HEPA filter made from water resistant, fire retardant, imported micro fine glass fiber media: conforms to EU-14 grades, with an efficiency rating better then 99.999% for 0.3 microns. These filters are designed to accommodate higher air flow volume. 
  • Pre filter are made from NON- Woven synthetic with HDPE mesh and AI expanded mesh on air leaving side; conforms to EU-4/G-4 grade, with an efficiency of down to 10µm
  • Mounted on heavy tubular stand with lockable castors.
  • Aerodynamic airflow grills, maintains safety and prevent blockage.
  • U>V and fluorescent interlock available.
  • Ergonomic and comfortable to 10°sloped front window for comfortable head and elbow rest position, thus reducing fatigue.
  • The sash is counterbalanced for smooth and lightweight operation with the standard opening of 200mm ±10mm for easier access to work zone and enhanced user safety.
